The Free Flow is a fictional cocktail bar subtly inspired by jazz music, with a rustic feel.
The name Free Flow comes from the early jam sessions; a phrase which originated in the 1920s when jazz musicians would come together after their regular paying gigs to play the jazz they could not play in the style bands played in. During these jam sessions, musicians could be who they wanted to be and not who they were supposed to be within their more professional setting.
The purpose of these jam sessions was to improvise, have fun and come up with new material. But these sessions were more than just music, they were a social gathering to meet new people, share ideas and visions.
In the same way, The Free Flow wants to allow people to be who they actually are or who they want to be rather than who they have to be in the ‘real, professional world’ without any expectations. A place that is more than just cocktails. In The Free Flow you can go from what people expect to the person you don’t have to be.
The original jam sessions were called free flow sessions.
